  • The duration of service on the front lines is limited to two months, followed by mandatory rotation.
  • The order is aimed at preserving the lives and health of soldiers and holds commanders accountable for violations of the regulations.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has signed an order that clearly regulates the length of time defenders can remain on the front lines and establishes strict oversight of personnel rest periods. It was reported on his Telegram channel.

According to the new document, the key change is the limitation on the duration of soldiers’ continuous deployment at their positions. Commanders are now required to ensure that troops remain at the front lines for no longer than two months. After this period, a mandatory rotation must take place within the following month.

Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized that the order is aimed at preserving the lives and health of soldiers both on the front lines and in the rear. In addition to the time limits, the document mandates a mandatory medical examination for everyone leaving the combat zone, as well as providing sufficient time for recovery and rest.

Rotation planning will be carried out taking into account the operational situation and available resources. At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief emphasized the continuity of logistics: units remaining in their positions must be fully supplied with food and ammunition.

Any violations of these regulations will result in inevitable accountability for commanders in accordance with the statutes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and applicable law. Monitoring of the order’s implementation will be as strict as possible to ensure that servicemembers’ rights to rotation are genuinely upheld.

As reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the removal of the commander of the 14th Mechanized Brigade from his post due to a media scandal that arose from the catastrophic situation regarding the supply of troops.

The General Staff explains the situation by citing significant logistical problems in the 14th Mechanized Brigade’s area of responsibility, near Kupiansk, as the russians are constantly conducting intense shelling there. The General Staff adds that the command of the 14th Mechanized Brigade concealed the true state of affairs, which is why the decision was made to carry out personnel changes.

The General Staff reports that an internal investigation will be conducted into the incident that led to these consequences, and those responsible will be punished. A decision has also been made regarding new appointments.
