The authorities of the aggressor country of russia have decided to refuse to use military equipment at the May 9 parade, which is held annually in Moscow on Red Square. There will also be no military equipment at a similar event in St. Petersburg.

This is evidenced by the message of the russian Ministry of Defense and the Fontanka publication, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Yesterday, April 28, the russian Ministry of Defense published a message stating that only servicemen of higher military educational institutions of all types and individual branches of the russian armed forces will participate in the events dedicated to May 9 in Moscow.

"Pupils of the Suvorov Military and Nakhimov Schools, Cadet Corps, as well as a column of military equipment will not take part in the military parade this year," the message says.

The reason for the cancellation of the military equipment's passage on Red Square was called the "current operational situation" in the department. What this means is not specified.

The air part of the military parade in Moscow will also be significantly reduced. It will be attended by aircraft from several aerobatic teams, and at the end, Su-25 attack aircraft will release smoke into the sky in the colors of the russian flag.

And today, April 29, the Fontanka publication wrote, citing its own sources, that there will also be no military equipment parade in St. Petersburg on May 9 - residents and guests of the city will not even be shown the restored Soviet T-34 tank.

"Military vehicles from the collection of the Lenrezerv patriotic association will pass outside the parade and will be located statically in the city center," the publication writes.

Fontanka clarifies that cadets from military educational institutions will take part in the parade itself. At the same time, as in Moscow, there will be no graduates of the Suvorov Military and Nakhimov Schools, as well as cadet corps in St. Petersburg.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 27, russian journalist Aleksandra Prokopenko wrote, citing sources, that due to the threat of a drone attack on May 9, military equipment will not participate in the parade in Moscow.

At the beginning of April, several Z-bloggers reported that the russian authorities were considering the possibility of canceling or postponing the May 9 parade in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
