Ukraine is expanding the geography of strikes on military and industrial facilities on the territory of russia. Currently, Ukrainian weapons are capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 1,500 kilometers. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy following the report of the acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Major General Yevhen Khmara.

The head of state emphasized that long-range strikes are a strategic necessity and a fair response to russian aggression. Each successful operation directly affects the Kremlin's ability to continue the war.

"We will increase the appropriate distances, and these are completely fair Ukrainian responses to russian terror," the head of state emphasized.

According to him, each such strike precisely hits the enemy's logistics, oil exports, and military potential, which makes the end of the war obvious.

"It's time to move on to diplomacy, and Moscow should hear this signal," Zelenskyy summed up, adding that the effectiveness of the new strategy is already tangible for both sides.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 20, residents of Tuapse complained about the "oil rain" that fell in the city amid a large-scale fire after a UAV attack.

Later, the General Staff confirmed the repeated damage to the refinery in the russian city of Tuapse.

And on April 24, russian media wrote that Tuapse was facing a disruption to its tourist season due to pollution of the sea and coast as a result of a drone attack on the refinery.
