In the russian city of Tuapse, after a drone attack on an oil refinery, the authorities announced the cessation of oil spills, but the liquidation of the consequences is ongoing, and the threat of environmental pollution remains.

This was reported by the head of the russian Emergencies Ministry Aleksandr Kurenkov.

According to him, the situation was brought under control, but work at the scene continues. Hundreds of rescuers and equipment have been involved in the liquidation of the consequences, and in the near future they plan to send about 300 additional specialists, including divers. They are also preparing to strengthen the protective structures around the facility.

To prevent the spread of oil, nine lines of barriers have already been installed on the river, and new barriers are being prepared. At the same time, they cannot completely rule out the ingress of pollution into the Black Sea yet.
