On the night of Tuesday, April 28, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Tuapse Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the aggressor state, the russian federation, for a second time. This was reported in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"This facility is involved in supplying the Russian Federation’s occupying army on Ukrainian territory. Strikes by attack UAVs on the facility’s territory were recorded, followed by a fire. The extent of the damage is being assessed," the military said.
Ukrainian troops also struck a radar station belonging to the "Ai-Petri" radio-technical battalion near Okhotnyche in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea.
In addition, over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian units successfully struck enemy command and observation posts near Molochansk, Stulneve, Kokhane, Uspenivka, and a logistics depot in the Kyrylivka area of the Zaporizhzhia Region; they also struck troop concentrations near Velyka Novosilka and Rodynske in the Donetsk Region, Starobohdanivka in the Zaporizhzhia Region, and Ovrazhky in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Among other targets, a UAV command post in the vicinity of Hola Prystan in the Kherson Region was struck.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 20, residents of Tuapse complained about an “oil rain” that fell on the city amid a massive fire following a UAV attack.
And on April 24, russian media reported that Tuapse faces the threat of a ruined tourist season due to pollution of the sea and coastline resulting from a drone attack on an oil refinery.
