The ship Panoramitis, carrying grain stolen from Ukraine’s occupied territories, is heading toward the Israeli port of Haifa. Kyiv has warned that unloading this grain will lead to a serious deterioration in relations between the two countries.

Barak Ravid, a journalist for the American publication Axios, reported this, citing his own sources.

An unnamed source in Ukrainian diplomatic circles told Ravid that Kyiv is tracking the ship and does not intend to ignore the situation.

“If it’s permitted to dock and unload, there will be fallout, specifically for our bilateral ties,” the journalist quoted the source as saying.

He added that if the Panoramitis and its cargo are not turned away, Ukraine reserves the right to “deploy a full suite of diplomatic and international legal responses.”

The source noted that Israel had effectively ignored Ukraine’s demand regarding another vessel that unloaded stolen Ukrainian grain in Haifa.

"Frankly, this feels like a slap in the face given the strategic goodwill Ukraine has extended - from designating the IRGC as terrorists to criminalizing antisemitism," the source told the journalist.

He considers profiting from such cargo to be beneath Israel’s dignity.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 31, the US removed three russian vessels from its sanctions list, one of which was involved in the shipment of grain stolen from Ukraine’s occupied territories.
