On the morning of April 27, russian occupation forces launched a massive attack on the town of Koriukivka in the Chernihiv Region. Pavlo Miroshnychenko, the head of the Koriukivka District State Administration, has reported this.
Over the course of forty minutes — from 4:30 to 5:10 a.m. — 18 strikes by enemy drones were recorded in the city. The attack targeted three main locations, including a critical energy infrastructure facility and two local businesses.
"Preliminary reports indicate that 18 UAVs struck three locations. These include a critical infrastructure facility and two enterprises. Nearby buildings sustained damage," noted the head of the District State Administration, adding that large-scale fires broke out at the impact sites.
Two local residents were injured as a result of the terrorist attack: a 42-year-old employee of one of the enterprises and an 81-year-old man. Medical personnel are currently assessing their condition. In addition to significant damage to industrial facilities and an energy facility, the blast wave and debris damaged residential buildings located near the epicenters of the explosions. Published photos show that the city is shrouded in thick smoke, and rescue services continue to work to address the aftermath of the shelling.
Rescue workers and utility crews are currently on the scene at all locations, attempting to contain the fires and clear the debris.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, 10 people, including two children, were injured as a result of the massive attack on Odesa.
