On the night of April 26, the Zhytomyr Region came under another shelling, which led to a fire at an infrastructure facility. The fire broke out as a result of falling debris from downed enemy targets, but it was quickly extinguished by rescuers. Vitalii Bunechko stated this in Telegram.
During an air alert, air defense forces destroyed several air targets over the region. The head of the Regional Military Administration confirmed that units of the State Emergency Service were working at the scene of the hit.
"Thanks to the professional actions of rescuers, it was quickly eliminated," Bunechko emphasized. Currently, restoration work is underway at the damaged facility, and law enforcement officers are conducting investigative actions to record the consequences of the attack.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, more than 90,000 families in the Kyiv and Rivne Regions were left without electricity due to the bad weather.
Russians attacked Chernihiv with drones, damaging a high-rise building and private homes.
