The Verkhovna Rada is not considering the replacement of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko. This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Davyd Arakhamia, on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"We see how individual MPs are trying to politicize the terrorist attack in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. Such attempts are absolutely groundless. The leadership of the patrol police resigned, the perpetrators have been brought to justice, no one is protecting anyone, things are called by their proper names. The Ministry of Internal Affairs promptly responded to the situation, made conclusions, and launched the necessary internal procedures. As of now, the Verkhovna Rada is not considering the replacement of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," he said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada is proposing to dismiss Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko after police officers escaped from a terrorist, and the corresponding draft resolution No. 15185 was registered in the Verkhovna Rada on April 21.

The initiators were members of the Verkhovna Rada's Law Enforcement Committee Yulia Yatsyk (non-faction) and Mykola Halushko (Servant of the People faction), as well as Serhii Rudyk (For the Future group).
