The seventh victim of the terrorist attack in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv on April 18 was a janitor. He died in hospital from wounds received during the shooting. This was reported by a journalist for the Kyiv24 TV channel.
Residents of the house near which the terrorist attack occurred remember him as a very friendly and kind person. He took care of a local cat, who is now left alone and wanders around the yard.
"We know that one person died on April 20 in the hospital - the seventh victim is the janitor, as the locals call him, Uncle Sasha. They say that he was a very kind person, sensitive. He always smiled," the correspondent said, adding that she also lives in this house.
She said that she was not personally acquainted with the janitor, but she had seen him in the yard many times.
"I always saw a smile on his face, I always heard him talking to his neighbors, helping someone. And now his cat is walking around the yards and entrances here, and the residents are already feeding the cat and discussing who could take care of him," the correspondent added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on Saturday, April 18, after noon, bloody events unfolded in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. Initially, local residents began to talk on Telegram channels about the sounds of gunshots they heard in the courtyards of their houses. Later, videos shot on phones appeared, where a man was filmed moving quickly down the street and shooting at almost everyone he met.
The shooting in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv was classified by law enforcement officers as a terrorist act.
At the same time, the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion to two patrol police officers who, during an armed attack on Demiivska Street in Kyiv, left the scene without taking any measures to stop the shooter.
