The gauleiter of the temporary occupied territories of the Donetsk Region Denis Pushilin has actually confirmed the strategy of colonization by the aggressor country of russia of the occupied territories. This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).
Thus, according to the Center, Pushilin called the mass purchase of housing by russians in the TO of the Donetsk Region a "natural trend".
It is noted that along with this statement, statistics on occupied Mariupol were published: about 75% of real estate buyers in the city are visitors from the russian federation. Only a quarter of the transactions are with local residents.
The Center emphasizes that this process is taking place against the backdrop of mass seizure of property from legal owners under the guise of combating "unowned" real estate. According to the data available to the CCD, in Mariupol and Melitopol alone, the occupiers have appropriated about 4,000 residential properties.
"Such statements by the gauleiter are a direct confirmation of the policy of targeted displacement of the Ukrainian population from TOT. For the first time, the occupation administration has openly admitted that russia's priority in housing policy in TOT is not local residents, but "investors" from russia," the Center emphasizes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the CCD previously reported how the occupiers in the Kherson Region are appropriating the property of entrepreneurs.
