The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Artillery shelling of the border areas continues. Today in the Sumy Region, the settlements of Iskryskivshchyna, Tovstodubove, Bachivsk, Rohizne, Koreniok, Sopych, Volfyne, Kucherivka, Holyshivske, Ryzhivka, Stukalivka, Budky, Prohres, Kozache were affected.
Two combat clashes took place on the North-Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, the enemy fired 44 times at Ukrainian troops' settlements and positions, one of them using multiple rocket launchers.
On the South-Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy stormed the positions of our troops twice near Vovchansk.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy twice tried to improve its position in the direction of Novoplatonivka. One firefight is ongoing.
On the Lyman axis, four hostile attacks have taken place in the direction of Stavky and Lyman since the beginning of the day. Two combat clashes are still ongoing.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy has conducted two attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the vicinity of Yampil since the beginning of the day
On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions twice in the vicinity of Nykyforivka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the invaders carried out 12 attacks in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Sofiivka and in the direction of Novopavlivka. Three firefights are ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the occupants have tried 13 times to push our troops from their positions in the areas of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne and towards Shevchenko, Bilytske, Novopavlivka. Two firefights are still ongoing.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks in the direction of Kalynivske, Verbove and Oleksandrohrad. Velykomykhailivka, Kolomiitsi, Andriivka, and Fedorivske came under an air strike. One firefight is ongoing.
On the Huliaipole axis, Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled nine enemy attacks in the direction of Sviatopetrivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka and in the area of Varvarivka, Pryluky and Tsvitkove. One battle is ongoing. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Nizhenka, Zirnytsia, Verkhnia Tersa, Charivne, Liubytske.
Mykilske, Yurkivka, Zarichne were hit by air strikes on the Orikhiv axis.
The situation in other parts of the frontline has not changed significantly so far. No enemy advance attempts were registered.
