China is considering taking control of Iran's enriched uranium or helping to reduce its level to 440 kilograms.
It was reported by the Associated Press, citing a diplomat familiar with Beijing's position.
At the moment, as noted, the United States is considering an option under which it could take control of the relevant material.
However, according to the diplomat, who requested anonymity, China, which is Iran's largest trading partner, has signaled its readiness to join the process if Washington and Tehran request that enriched uranium be reduced or processed to a level suitable for civilian use.
The article also reminds that in 2015, as part of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, Iran transferred about 11,000 kg of low-enriched uranium to russia to fulfill the key conditions of the nuclear deal.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps acquired the Chinese satellite TEE-01B at the end of 2024 after its launch and gained access to the Emposat network of ground stations.
