Russia strikes Chernihiv infrastructure: fires and thousands of people without power

On the night of April 17, russian troops attacked critical facilities in Chernihiv, as a result of which fires broke out and part of the city was left without electricity.

This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi. "A hostile attack on critical facilities in the city was recorded at about 3 am," he noted, adding that fires broke out at the sites of the strikes.

Information about possible victims is currently being clarified.

Chernihivoblenergo reported that as a result of shelling, an energy facility in the Chernihiv Region was damaged. About 6,000 consumers in Chernihiv were left without electricity.
