During a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, the United Kingdom announced the allocation of the largest aid package for Ukraine, including the provision of more than 120,000 drones this year.

It was reported by the British government.

It is noted that this package is the largest such package of assistance from the UK, including thousands of long-range strike drones, tactical and operational reconnaissance drones, logistics drones and maritime weapons that have already been tested in combat conditions on the front line.

The statement added that deliveries of these drones have already begun this month.

"In the fifth year of a brutal war, the UK continues to increase its support and this year will provide Ukraine with the largest number of drones. ... With the world's attention focused on the Middle East, Putin wants us to be distracted, but Ukrainians continue to fight with great courage. Nothing will distract us from continuing to stand by their side for as long as it takes to secure peace," said British Defense Secretary John Healey.

The new drone package is backed by a GBP 3 billion boost in UK military support over the next 12 months, as well as funding from the ERA, a program of additional loans to boost Ukraine's budget.

The Defense Minister will also confirm that the UK will provide Ukraine with hundreds of thousands of artillery shells and thousands of air defense missiles this year.

"Today's announcement follows a new leading defense partnership concluded last month that will allow the UK and Ukraine to work together to strengthen global defense capabilities against the proliferation of low-cost, high-tech military equipment, including drones," the statement said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth skips the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group again. Thus, the United States became one of the few countries that did not send a senior defense official.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that US President Donald Trump takes a neutral position in russia's war against Ukraine, but the signals to the aggressor country are more positive than to Ukraine.
