Terrorist attack in Brovary. Law enforcers detain 2 perpetrators of explosion in hot pursuit

The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the National Police, detained two criminals involved in a terrorist attack in Brovary, Kyiv Region. This is said in a statement by the SSU.

According to the investigation, the explosion occurred near a local private house on the evening of April 13. The 36-year-old man sustained light injuries as a result of the explosion.

Law enforcement officers found that an improvised explosive device (IED) had detonated. The explosive was placed near the fence and detonated by a phone call. The attackers attached a mobile device to a street power pole to record the attack.

It is noted that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack were detained within hours of the crime. The attackers were two men: a 23-year-old resident of Brovary and his 17-year-old accomplice from the Chernivtsi Region. The second suspect was detained at the train station in Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Vinnytsia Region, where he was trying to leave Ukraine.

"During urgent searches, evidence of subversive activities was seized from the detainees, including phones, SIM cards of mobile operators, electric matches and clothes used during the terrorist attack," the SSU said.

According to the information available to law enforcement, the attackers acted on the order of the special services of the aggressor country. The curator from russia promised them a monetary reward for this.
