Ukrainian defenders have conducted a unique operation in which an enemy position was taken under control exclusively with the help of unmanned systems. This success of the Defense Forces, which was the first such case in the entire period of a full-scale war, was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The occupants surrendered after an attack by ground robotic systems (UGVs) and drones, which allowed the task to be completed without any risk to the lives of Ukrainian attack aircraft.
"For the first time in the history of this war, the enemy position was taken only by unmanned platforms - ground robotic systems (UGVs) and drones. The occupants surrendered, and this operation was carried out without the participation of infantry and without losses on our part," the Head of State emphasized in his greetings on the occasion of the Day of the Armorer.
Although the direction and exact time of the operation were not disclosed, the President noted that over the past three months, Ukrainian robotic platforms such as Ratel, Termit, Liut and others have already completed more than 22,000 combat missions. According to Zelenskyy, the development of technology is becoming a decisive factor on the battlefield, because "the national task is to fully implement the approved resilience plans within a certain period of time," where technological dominance is the key to saving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers.
