Russia must receive security guarantees. Without them, the end of the russian-Ukrainian war is impossible. This is evidenced by the answer of russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to the questions of the russian media.
It was quoted by the press service of the russian Foreign Ministry.
"Now that the prospect of a political and diplomatic settlement is on the horizon, the European Union, seeking a seat at the negotiating table, has started talking about the need to provide firm security guarantees to Ukraine as a key element of a peaceful solution. I will omit that no one in the European Union has said a word about Russia's security guarantees, without which the conflict cannot be overcome," the russian minister said.
He also made it clear that he does not support the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine at this time.
Larov also touched upon the situation of national minorities in Ukraine. In particular, Lavrov mentioned the Hungarian community and said that he had discussed this issue with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, and repeated the traditional accusations of infringement on the rights of russian and other minorities.
