On April 11, Ukraine and russia held a new prisoner exchange, as part of which 175 Ukrainians returned home.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Telegram social network.
"Our people are returning home. 175 military. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, National Guardsmen, border guards. Privates, sergeants and officers. And seven civilians," he wrote.
The soldiers who returned today defended Ukraine in various directions: in Mariupol, at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kyiv, Kursk Axes. Among them are wounded. Most have been in captivity since 2022.
"I thank every unit that replenishes our exchange fund and thus brings the return of our people closer. Returning everyone from russian captivity is of fundamental importance to us. I thank everyone in the world who helps us with this," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
