Russian propaganda is spreading reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are using civilian trains for military purposes. In this way, they are trying to justify attacks on the Ukrainian railroad. It was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

In particular, it is claimed that Ukrainian railroaders have transferred part of the civilian rolling stock to the military, which is allegedly why some flights in the Kharkiv and Poltava Regions are canceled.

"No evidence is provided to support these claims. It also ignores the fact that it is Russian shelling that causes changes in train schedules or the cancellation of individual flights," the Center emphasizes.

The Center adds that the kremlin propagandists are trying to justify the systematic attacks of russian troops on the railway infrastructure of Ukraine, including shelling of railway stations and passenger trains, by lying about the "use of civilian trains by the military."

"The Kremlin is trying to legitimize attacks on civilian infrastructure through fictitious accusations. In fact, the attacks on the railway infrastructure are carried out by the troops of the aggressor state for the sake of terror against the civilian population and have no military justification," the Center for Countering Disinformation said in a statement.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Center for Countering Disinformation told how the occupiers are trying to "sell" the war to tourists.
