The reform of the mobilization legislation is in the final stage of development and will soon be presented to the parliament and society. This was stated in a comment to Telegraf by the head of the Servant of the People faction, Davyd Arakhamia.

According to Arakhamia, the Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov is engaged in the reform. First, he will present the concept in the committee on national security and defense, then - to the factions and groups in parliament.

"They are already in the final stage. The reform will be presented within a month," the MP noted.

What will happen to the two million evaders?

The key news was that the two million people wanted by the territorial recruitment centers are planned to be removed from the wanted list - but with a clear procedure for further actions.

"The question there is two million people wanted. They are all being removed from the wanted list, but there is a certain procedure for what to do next," Arakhamia explained.

According to the MP, the reform will include both easing and tightening requirements for those liable for military service. After the merger of the registers, new coercive measures are planned to be applied to evaders, but the idea of strict restrictions such as blocking bank accounts does not yet have consistent support.

"There are populist things there, and on the other hand, there are some things that are stricter. We need to look at the whole concept comprehensively," he noted.

Reform of the territorial recruitment centers

A separate direction will be the reform of the territorial recruitment centers themselves - their functionality is planned to be transferred to a more technical format with the minimization of the human factor and corruption risks. Arakhamia also linked the need to accelerate the reform with the increase in the number of violent incidents involving the territorial recruitment centers employees, adding that at the next hour of questions to the government, MPs will demand that Fedorov accelerate the implementation of the changes.

As previously reported, the day before, the Economic Pravda publication published data on how much it costs to "buy out" of mobilization in Ukraine.
