Iran will withdraw from the ceasefire agreement with the United States if Israel continues to attack Lebanon. It was reported by the semi-official Iranian news agency Tasnim and the Anadolu Ajansi on Wednesday, April 8, citing an informed source.

According to the source, Iran is currently reviewing agreements with the United States, as it considers Israeli strikes on Lebanon to be a violation of the truce.

"Iran will withdraw from the agreement if the Zionist regime continues to violate the ceasefire through attacks on Lebanon," the source said.

According to the source, the cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including against Lebanon, was accepted by the United States as part of the proposed two-week ceasefire plan. Iran believes that Israel has committed "clear violations of the ceasefire" since the beginning of Wednesday, carrying out "brutal attacks" against Lebanon.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 8, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out the largest coordinated strike in Lebanon since the beginning of the war, during which 50 fighter jets dropped about 160 bombs on 100 Hezbollah targets within 10 minutes.

On April 8, US President Donald Trump said that he had decided to postpone "devastating" strikes on Iran, as Tehran agreed to unblock shipping in the Strait of Hormuz for two weeks.
