The Verkhovna Rada intends to introduce taxation of income from digital platforms.

234 MPs voted for the adoption of draft law No. 15111-d in the first reading, with the minimum required 226, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

According to preliminary data, taxation does not apply to income from the sale of used goods.

At the same time, the document provides for the automatic exchange of tax information with other countries, defines the role of platforms as tax agents and establishes new approaches to reporting and paying taxes.

The document provides for:

  • allowing self-employed persons to tax income from platforms on the same basis as for individuals;
  • eliminating the need to open special accounts for sellers through platforms;
  • abolishing the obligation to disclose bank secrecy regarding sellers' income;
  • abolishing the need to submit a tax return in case of exceeding the limit, while simultaneously replacing it with the issuance of a tax notification decision by the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Verkhovna Rada extended the military tax for 3 years after the end of the war.
