Serhii Kuiun, the Director of the A-95 Consulting Group, assumes that LPG will disappear from many gas stations.
He said this on his Facebook page, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
Kuiun wrote that now we can already talk about another blow to the liquefied gas industry, the price of which has become exorbitant.
If earlier it traditionally cost 50-60% of the price of gasoline, now it is approaching 70%, and this is not the limit, because there are no volumes on the foreign market.
"After the problems with Hormuz, China began to scoop up LPG all over the world, as it is used as a raw material in a bunch of industries. So, autogas can leave the chat at many gas stations. It's good that there is a lot of gasoline," the expert said in his post.
The government reported that 1.3 million users joined the fuel cashback program in March.
If everyone received a discount of UAH 1,000, it will amount to UAH 1.3 billion (the Ministry of Economy said UAH 20 million a day, or UAH 600 million per month).
At the same time, according to experts, the budget earned an additional UAH 1.3 billion in VAT on the increase in fuel prices.
So, we can say that March was a success, and it will probably not be the same in April, as the program is gaining momentum.
Albeit, we are not talking about any sellouts yet.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Serhii Kuiun, the Director of the A-95 Consulting Group, said that there was no shortage of diesel fuel in Ukraine and no shortage in April.
