Philip Morris announced the launch of a new line of nicotine pads (pouches) in Ukraine - ZYN MiniDry - an innovative smokeless product for adult nicotine consumers. This is stated in the company's official press release.

The launch of ZYN MiniDry is part of the company's long-term strategy to develop a smokeless product portfolio consisting of many categories.

Nicotine pads will be imported initially from Sweden, where the main production is concentrated. But in the future, the list of countries with production will expand.

"A year ago, Philip Morris in Ukraine actively invested in the ZYN brand on the Ukrainian market. The amount of investment amounted to USD 5 million. During this time, we have seen significant growth in this category and significant interest in the product among adult consumers. The launch of the MiniDry line is the next step in our long-term strategy," said Maksym Barabash, CEO of Philip Morris in Ukraine.

The CEO of Philip Morris in Ukraine also noted that the company plans to invest another USD 10 million in 2026 in the development of the nicotine pouch category and the launch of ZYN MiniDry, in particular in expanding the portfolio, creating infrastructure and increasing awareness among adult consumers.

According to Maksym Barabash, the company estimates the growth potential of the nicotine pouch category in Ukraine at 20% per year in the future, therefore it continues to invest in the development of these innovative products.

"Nicotine pouches are a category that is actively developing in international markets and is gradually taking shape in Ukraine. We are expanding our portfolio to better meet the different needs of adult nicotine consumers and develop different formats within this category," said Roman Ivanov, Director of Innovative Products at Philip Morris in Ukraine.

As Roman Ivanov explains, the ZYN brand is one of the most famous nicotine pouch brands in the world.

"It is also the first nicotine pouch brand in the US to receive marketing authorization from the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration). For us, this is an important milestone that confirms the product's compliance with international requirements and is an important factor for further investments in the development of ZYN in Ukraine," added Roman Ivanov.

ZYN MiniDry is a line of nicotine pouches that are created using innovative technology that differs from other products in this category. Unlike traditional pouches, they do not contain water, glycerin, or essential oils. Due to this, the pads are "dry," which provides a slower release of nicotine and a softer experience of use. At the same time, ZYN MiniDry are smaller in size compared to other pouch lines in Ukraine.

The line also differs from the existing ZYN Slim on the market in a less saturated taste and lower nicotine content. The strength of the pads will be from 1.5 to 6 mg.

When used, ZYN pouches do not create smoke, ash or aerosol - this allows them to be used, including in public places - in a restaurant, office, airplane or train.
