Servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine helped animal volunteers evacuate a dog and a cat from the zone of active hostilities. The four-legged friends were taken out using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).
The animal protection organization UAnimals reported this on its Instagram account.
The evacuation was carried out by servicemen of the 14th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They sent a UAV with a load of food for the soldiers who are in the position. The drone returned with a dog and a cat.
It is reported that the cat was cared of by a serviceman who is currently in the hospital after being wounded. His comrades-in-arms decided to save his ward. A similar decision was made regarding the dog, which could not be in the position.
The video, published by UAnimals, shows that the dog and cat were loaded into bags. They flew about 12 kilometers in these bags.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 10, the Verkhovna Rada allowed the forced evacuation of children from active combat zones without the consent of their parents or guardians.
As a reminder, on February 22, the zone where mandatory evacuation of families with children is in effect was expanded in the Kherson Region.
