In March 2026, units of the Ministry of Defense cleared 876 hectares of the territories liberated from russian occupants from explosive ordnance.
It was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to the Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety, over the past month, the following were demined:
- 65.43 hectares of agricultural land;
- 10.67 km of roads;
- 3.73 km of power lines;
- 46.44 km of railway tracks.
Mine action specialists destroyed 557 explosive items. In total, since the beginning of this year, demining has covered 2,831 hectares.

And since the full-scale invasion of russia, 481,590 explosive items have been eliminated. Despite this, the danger from mines remains high. As of the beginning of April, 1,431 people, including 147 children and 1,284 adults, were injured by russian mines and remnants of war.
The Ministry notes that demining units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service are involved in clearing the de-occupied territories of explosive devices.
