This is evidenced by NBU data, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In addition, in January, banks sold 849 troy ounces to the public for USD 3.976 million, and in February - 609 troy ounces for USD 3.061 million in equivalent
In addition, in January, banks bought 645 troy ounces from the population for USD 3.023 million, and in February - 753 troy ounces for USD 3.787 million in equivalent.
The weight of one troy ounce (ozt) is 31.1034768 grams.
In 2025, the population bought more than 463 kg of gold (14,890 ozt).
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, banks increased cash currency imports by 13% to USD 914 million in equivalent in February.
