The customs officer who killed an employee of a territorial center for recruitment and social support in Lviv was defending his younger brother, who escaped during the document check.
Journalist Vitalii Hlahola claims this on his Telegram channel.
According to him, he managed to establish a complete picture of the events that took place in Lviv. Around 1:40 p.m. on Patona Street, a patrol consisting of a territorial recruitment and social support center's employees and National Police officers stopped a car as part of mobilization measures.
In the car were an employee of the Lviv customs office, Andrii Trush, born in 1991, and his brother, A.D. Trush, born in 1997. After the documents were checked, the younger of the brothers began to run away. His brother intervened to give him the opportunity to escape.
"Further events develop in a matter of seconds... He pulls out a knife and stabs the territorial recruitment and social support center's employee, Oleh Avdieiev, in the neck. The blow is aimed at a vital area," Hlahola writes.
After that, attempts are made to resuscitate the victim on the spot, and then he is transported to an ambulance. However, it is not possible to save him, he dies on the way to the hospital
Andrii Trush was detained. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 2 of Article 115 (Murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Thursday, April 2, in Lviv, a man stabbed a territorial recruitment and social support center's employee in the throat. He died from the wound.
Later, the National Police reported on the detention of a man suspected of killing the territorial recruitment and social support center's employee. That was an inspector of the Lviv customs.
The incident was also commented on by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. The Ministry said that the mobilization system needs to be changed, but no problem with the system can justify the murder.
