The aggressor country of russia has expanded the current ban on gasoline exports, extending it to fuel producers. The russian government announced this on Thursday, April 2.
"The government has extended temporary restrictions on gasoline exports to oil product producers until July 31," the report said.
According to the report, the decision was made to maintain a stable situation on the domestic fuel market during the period of seasonal demand and agricultural work.
Another reason for expanding the ban is the increase in world oil prices due to the consequences of the war between Israel and the United States against Iran.
The restrictions on gasoline exports will not apply to supplies under international intergovernmental agreements.
The Interfax propaganda agency writes that after the start of the war against Iran and the subsequent energy crisis, exchange prices for fuel in russia have been increasing since the end of February. This is due to the "nervousness" of market participants, and not due to the increase in demand for oil products. Due to weather conditions, farmers are postponing field work.
Spring sowing will begin in the country in the near future, and some oil refineries will undergo repair work, which will reduce the level of oil refining. This will lead to an even greater increase in fuel prices.
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, earlier today, April 2, Reuters wrote, citing sources, that a reduction in oil production in the russian federation is inevitable due to a drop in exports after the attacks by Ukraine.
As we will recall, on March 27, it became known that russian oil refining companies in the russian federation warned that they may be forced to declare force majeure in supply due to damage and suspension of operations of ports on the Baltic Sea after the Ukrainian strikes.
