In the first quarter of 2026, revenues from the "Google tax" amounted to UAH 4.5 billion, which is 28% more compared to the same period last year.
This is announced in a statement by the State Tax Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
In total, in 2026, non-residents have already paid EUR 41.7 million and USD 54.2 million.
The leaders in paying the tax are global technology giants: Apple, Google, Valve, Meta, Sony, Etsy and Netflix.
To date, 152 individuals have already registered as VAT payers - non-residents who carry out such operations in Ukraine.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the tax is paid by foreign companies (non-residents) that provide electronic services to individuals in the customs territory of Ukraine.
This includes, in particular, services for online advertising, access to video and audio content, cloud solutions, software, and other digital products.
