US President Donald Trump said that the active phase of the military operation against Iran could last about 2-3 more weeks. At the same time, he emphasized that the key goals of the campaign have almost been achieved, but did not name the exact date of its completion.

Trump said this during the broadcast of his address to the nation.

According to the American leader, the United States is ready to deliver new powerful strikes in the near future. He also emphasized that Washington does not depend on the Strait of Hormuz and does not intend to interfere in its functioning.

"We will deliver a very strong blow to them over the next 2-3 weeks. We will return them to the Stone Age, where they belong," Trump said.

The US President also reported that all facilities related to the Iranian nuclear program have allegedly been destroyed. According to him, Iran was actively building up its stockpile of ballistic missiles that could pose a threat to Europe and the United States, and was close to creating nuclear weapons.

Trump added that any attempts by Tehran to resume its nuclear program would be immediately stopped by new strikes. In addition, he stated that the Iranian leadership had been weakened after the elimination of some regional leaders.

The US and Israeli military operation against Iran began on February 28, 2026. In response, Iran launched massive missile and drone strikes on targets in the region, and also blocked the Strait of Hormuz, which caused disruptions in oil supplies and increased energy prices.

It is separately noted that the countries of the Middle East turned to Ukraine for help in countering Iranian drones, and Kyiv sent more than 200 specialists to the region.

Recall that Trump demanded that Europe unblock the Strait of Hormuz under the threat of stopping military aid to Ukraine.
