Another drone attack on the russian port of Ust-Luga in the Baltic Sea has damaged an oil loading terminal, which threatens to significantly complicate the export of russian raw materials. This is reported by Reuters, citing industry sources.

The strike was on the facilities operated by the state monopoly Transneft. The company is currently refraining from commenting, but insiders confirm the damage to critical infrastructure, which usually passes through about 700,000 barrels of oil per day.

All told, more than 32 million tons of oil products were exported through this port last year, making it a key hub for the russian economy. However, a series of attacks on March 22, 25, 27, 29, and 31 forced the regional authorities to suspend export operations. According to analysts, systematic drone strikes and detention of shadow fleet tankers have already paralyzed at least 40% of russia's oil export capacity.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has previously stated that the strikes on russian oil terminals are a direct response to the shelling of Ukraine's energy system. The damage to the extensive complex in Ust-Luga, which handles crude oil and petroleum products, was another stage of pressure on the aggressor's energy sector. The situation in the Gulf of Finland remains tense, as prolonged disruptions in the port continue to undermine the Kremlin's logistics chains.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, due to "sanctions" from the SSU and the Head of the SSU Yevhenii Khmara, russia's 40% of oil export capacity has been stopped, which is destroying its economy.
