North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) air defense intercepted a ballistic missile that entered Turkish airspace from Iran. This is stated in a message by the Turkish Ministry of Defense on Monday, March 30.

The Defense Ministry noted that it prioritized national security and monitored the situation.

"The ballistic munition, which was identified as having been launched from Iran and entered Turkish airspace, was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense assets deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean," the statement said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 4, the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) air defense shot down a ballistic missile launched by Iran towards Turkey.

On March 30, US President Donald Trump threatened to destroy all power plants, oil wells and the island of Kharg and desalination plants in Iran if a peace deal is not concluded.
