The total public (direct and guaranteed) debt of Ukraine in February decreased by 0.8%, or USD 1.82 billion, to USD 213.18 billion compared to the previous month.
This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The state and state-guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 9,211.19 billion, or USD 213.18 billion, at the end of February, compared to UAH 9,212.6 billion, or USD 215 billion, a month earlier.
The total amount of direct public debt as of the reporting date amounted to UAH 8,940.64 billion (USD 206.92 billion), compared to UAH 8,933.75 billion (USD 208.5 billion) a month earlier.
At the same time, direct external debt decreased from USD 161.99 billion to USD 160.41 billion over the month.
Direct domestic debt increased in the hryvnia equivalent from UAH 1,992.65 billion to UAH 2,009.62 billion (in dollar terms, it increased from USD 46.5 billion to USD 46.51 billion).
The state-guaranteed debt at the end of the reporting period amounted to UAH 270.55 billion, or USD 6.26 billion the state and state-guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 9,042.68 billion, or USD 213.33 billion, at the end of December 2025, against UAH 8,616.54 billion, or USD 204.22 billion, a month earlier.

In 2022, the total public debt increased by USD 13.39 billion, or 13.66%, to USD 111.34 billion.
In 2021, the national debt increased by 8.52%, or USD 7.69 billion, to USD 97.95 billion.
