The Latvian government has approved a new aid package for Ukraine worth EUR 6.8 million. The funds will be used for energy, drones and infrastructure.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braže, has announced this on X.

"Latvia’s government has decided on a support package for Ukraine worth 6.8 million EUR," the statement said.

It is indicated that the new Latvian aid package will help strengthen Ukraine's energy network, shelters, infrastructure, social and civil resilience, as well as the potential for the use of drones.

"Latvia will always stand with Ukraine," she added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of March 25, Estonia and Latvia recorded a drone crash on their territory, and a little earlier, on March 23, a drone crashed in Lithuania. The authorities of all three countries stated that the drones were of Ukrainian origin.
