On the night of March 29, 2026, the russian troops carried out a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using the Kinzhal aeroballistic missile from the airspace of the Ryazan Oblast and a record number of drones. This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command.
In total, the enemy launched 442 strike UAVs of various types, among which about 300 were Shaheds, and the rest were drones of the Gerbera and Italmas models and other attack means. The attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, mobile fire groups, as well as electronic warfare and unmanned systems units.
As of nine in the morning, the air defense forces managed to shoot down or suppress 380 enemy drones using electronic warfare. Despite the effective work of the sky defenders, 16 hits of attack UAVs were recorded at 7 different locations, and debris from downed targets was recorded at 14 more points. In particular, a difficult situation was observed in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, where the enemy carried out almost 20 attacks in four districts of the region.
Currently, the Air Force emphasizes that the attack is ongoing, as several enemy drones still remain in the airspace, so residents should strictly adhere to safety rules.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of Saturday, March 28, the Mykolaiv Region came under attack from russian Shahed drones.
