The russian federation has taken advantage of the destabilization in the Middle East to obtain additional profits. According to the assessment of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in the first two weeks of the conflict alone, the budget of the aggressor country has increased by approximately USD 2 billion. The head of state stated this during a conversation with journalists within the framework of a zoom conference, while on a visit to Qatar, Ukrinform reports.

The President noted that despite these revenues, the situation with the russian budget remains critical. According to him, in 2025 the russian federation's deficit may reach USD 100 billion.

"In my opinion, what seems to be true is that somewhere in the first two weeks they earned over two billion. This really seems to be true. This definitely will not help the russians that much today, it depends on how long the war will last," Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

Zelenskyy added that the announced amount of over USD 2 billion is the most likely, although data from different sources may differ slightly. He also noted that the Kremlin's further ability to cover financial holes at the expense of energy resources or the easing of sanctions will directly depend on the duration of the US operation in Iran.

Recall that earlier the media reported that the aggressor country of russia's income from the sale of oil and gas increased to at least USD 760 million per day due to the war against Iran, which disrupted global energy supply chains from the Persian Gulf countries.
