More than 1 million square meters of road surface were repaired in Ukraine last week, and almost 1.93 million square meters since the beginning of the year, said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
"More than 1 million square meters of road surface have been repaired only over the last week. Every day, 235 brigades and more than 2,100 workers work across the country," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to him, during this period, 672,000 square meters on roads of national importance were repaired, almost 397,000 square meters - on international routes.
Works are underway on key logistics areas, in particular: M-05 Kyiv - Odesa (121,000 square meters), M-06 Kyiv - Chop (78,000 square meters), M-03 Kyiv - Kharkiv - Dovzhanskyi (42,000 square meters).
Due to the round-the-clock work, the pace of implementation exceeds the planned indicators: 116.6% - state roads; 127.9% - international roads. Since the beginning of the year, almost 1.93 million square meters of road surface have been restored.
