As a result of a massive night attack by russian troops on the energy infrastructure of the Odesa Region, thousands of residents were left without electricity, the enemy targeted generating and distribution facilities, which led to serious technological disruptions in the grid. DTEK Group reported this in a statement.
Power engineers are working in an emergency mode to restore electricity to the homes of citizens as soon as possible, but the scale of damage does not allow it to be done instantly.
"Odesa Region: at night, the enemy attacked 4 DTEK energy facilities. The damage is extensive and repairs will take time," the company emphasized.
Despite the complexity of the situation, specialists have already managed to quickly reconnect 31,500 consumers in the region using backup power supply schemes.
Today, 33,400 families are still without stable power supply. All specialized units are involved in eliminating the consequences of the shelling, but the speed of restoration directly depends on the degree of damage to the equipment at the attacked sites. The power company calls on residents of Odesa region to be understanding of the situation, as restoration work continues uninterruptedly until all consumers are fully powered.
On the evening of March 21, the left bank of Kyiv - part of the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi Districts - was left without electricity due to an equipment failure.
