On the night of March 26, russian occupation forces carried out another targeted attack on Ukraine's critical logistics, targeting rail and sea transport facilities, Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Communities and Territories Development, said.
The attack resulted in the destruction of infrastructure in two regions, but, according to preliminary data, there were no casualties. The main impact in the Kirovohrad Region was on the railroad sector, where enemy drones hit a maintenance facility.
"In the Kirovohrad Region, enemy drones attacked a locomotive maintenance facility. Several locomotives were damaged," the minister said. At the same time, strategic maritime hubs in the south of the country came under fire, where warehouses, berths, and buildings of port operators and a maritime station were damaged
Despite the significant material damage, key services have already begun restoration work to minimize the impact of the attack on logistics processes.
"No one was injured in the attack. All relevant services are working to eliminate the consequences and restore operations," summarized Oleksii Kuleba. Experts are currently assessing the extent of damage to the railroad and port facilities to return them to operation as soon as possible.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russia has attacked the Izmail District again, with ports and energy sector under attack.
