Iran's threats cannot be ignored. Iran may try to strike the territory of Ukraine. This was stated by Fedir Venislavsky, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, in an interview with Telegraf on Wednesday, March 25.
Venislavskyi stressed that Ukraine helps protect the civilian population of the Persian Gulf countries from Iranian attacks, but does not provide any means for attacks on Iran.
"We must be prepared for the fact that Iran may try to make some strikes on the territory of Ukraine. And we see that there are indeed examples when their missiles are flying there for several thousand kilometers and they can hypothetically reach Ukraine," Venislavskyi said.
According to him, Iran's threats should not be ignored, but this threat should not be exaggerated. The MP noted that Iranian missiles are no better than russian ones, which are successfully shot down by Ukrainian air defense. At the same time, Iran helped the aggressor country of russia in the war against Ukraine, so Iran's accusations against Ukraine do not comply with any norms of international law, Venislavskyi stressed.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 14, the head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iran's Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, stated that Ukraine, through drone assistance, had turned its territory into a legitimate target for Iran.
