The United States - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund has approved first investment in the Ukrainian technology company Sine Engineering. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"Today, a historic meeting of the Board of Directors of the United States - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (URIF) took place. It was here, in Kyiv, that the Board approved the Fund's first investment - in the Ukrainian dual-use technology company Sine Engineering. It works in the field of communications and navigation. Its components are already used by more than 150 Ukrainian manufacturers of UAVs and interceptors," she said.
Svyrydenko thanked all members of the American delegation who came to Ukraine this week despite the massive shelling.
"Less than a year since the signing of the bilateral agreement, the Fund has already made its first investment and received over 200 applications for consideration. More than half of them are from Ukrainian companies. The largest number of project proposals came from the energy sector, which is key for Ukraine. Also among the priority areas are the production of dual-use products, infrastructure and the field of critical minerals," the Prime Minister noted.
The size of the investment is not being disclosed at this time.
Sine Engineering was founded in Lviv in 2022, it specializes in drone technologies, including GPS-free navigation, communication and group control. In December 2025, the company received the NATO Innovation Range award.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on May 8, 2025, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the agreement between the governments of Ukraine and the United States on the establishment of the United States - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund (Minerals Agreement), concluded on April 30, 2025.
In September, Svyrydenko reported that the United States had made its first contribution to the United States - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund in the amount of USD 75 million and that Ukraine would double this contribution.
On September 1, the Cabinet of Ministers delegated three representatives to the board of directors of the United States - Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. The Ukrainian side is represented by: Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture Oleksii Sobolev, Deputy Minister of Economy Yehor Perelyhin, and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Oleksandr Karasevych.
