Premium car owners have paid over UAH 61 million in transport tax since year beginning

In January-February 2026, owners of expensive cars paid UAH 61.2 million in transport tax.

This is stated in the report of the Tax Service, the Ukrainian News agency informs.

Compared to the same period last year, this is 16.5% more, or UAH 8.7 million more.

Almost a third of the tax paid was received by the capital - UAH 18 million.

Also among the leaders:

Dnipropetrovsk Region - UAH 5.9 million;

Lviv Region - UAH 5.2 million;

Kyiv Region - UAH 4.5 million.

The tax is paid by owners of passenger cars whose age is not more than 5 years and whose average market value exceeds the threshold set by the state (in 2026 - more than UAH 3.2 million). The tax rate is fixed at UAH 25,000 per year for each car.

Non-payment or late payment of transport tax entails financial liability.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the list of passenger cars subject to transport tax in 2026 is published on the official website of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
