The authorities intend to make changes to the mobilization process that will affect Ukrainians who have received a deferral, as well as those who have the status of an unauthorized abandonment of a military unit or have not updated their data. It was reported by TSN with reference to its own sources.

On Thursday, March 19, a number of Telegram channels spread information that the authorities were allegedly discussing changes to the mobilization process. An unnamed source from the Verkhovna Rada confirmed this information.

According to him, the authorities are discussing stricter mechanisms for servicemen with the status of an unauthorized abandonment of a military unit. In addition, according to open data, more than a million men did not update their data in time.

"New measures are planned for them. Their location will be established, and they may become the focus of attention No. 1. The Ministry of Defense will propose clearer mechanisms that will help improve mobilization," TSN quoted the source as saying.

He emphasized that the identification number is likely to play an important role in this. The source did not specify what this means.

An analysis of the defense industry's real need for the current number of persons liable for military service who are booked from mobilization is also being prepared.

"If segments are identified that do not need this number, then there will be a reduction. This is an attempt to identify existing schemes," the source added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 19, information appeared on the Internet that mobilization processes had allegedly intensified in Kyiv. Later, the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center denied this information, adding that mobilization in the capital is being carried out without any changes.
