The Workers' Party of North Korea won 99.93% of the vote in the Supreme People's Assembly elections and formed a full parliament of 687 MPs.

This was reported by Yonhap with reference to KCNA.

According to the Korean Central News Agency, the turnout in the elections was 99.99% of the total number of voters. 0.0037% of citizens who were outside the country did not participate in the vote, another 0.00003% abstained.

KCNA notes that 99.93% of voters supported the ruling party, while 0.07% voted against.

The new parliament includes Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who previously stated that joint military exercises would have "incredibly dire consequences" for the United States and South Korea.

According to Yonhap, Kim Jong Un was elected to parliament for the 13th convocation in 2014. After the 14th convocation elections and amendments to the constitution, he is no longer a member of parliament, but retains power.

As a reminder, in February, North Korea held a military parade, in which units that fought against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor country, russia, took part. The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already commented on this event.
