The Ukrainian company Fire Point, the State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch and the Radionics Research and Production Enterprise have signed cooperation agreements with the Spanish Sener group in the missile and air defense industries. The Office of the President has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is also reported that in Madrid (Spain), President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the leadership of the Spanish Sener group, which today signed three agreements with Ukrainian defense manufacturers.
In the presence of Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian company Fire Point, the State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch and the Radionics Research and Production Enterprise signed cooperation agreements with Sener, which will establish cooperation in the missile and air defense industries and strengthen the protection of Ukrainian skies.
Sener produces missile components for IRIS-T systems, which are assembled in Germany for Ukraine, also works in the aerospace industry, implements energy and infrastructure projects and generally specializes in complex high-tech solutions.
Another cooperation agreement was signed between representatives of the Spanish company Escribano and the Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems Skyeton, the companies will jointly develop and manufacture laser-guided strike systems based on Ukrainian-made unmanned systems.
Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is interested in joint projects in the field of long-range drone production, as Ukraine has new developments and is ready to scale them up.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Zelenskyy said that it might be difficult for Ukraine to find missiles for air defense systems, should the United States and its allies in the Middle East need them to defend themselves against Iranian attacks.
