The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has detained another russian informant in the Kharkiv Region. He was collecting data to prepare a repeated air attack by the aggressor country russia on one of the largest thermal power plants in Ukraine. This is said in the SSU statement.

According to SSU cyber experts and investigators, the russians' tasks were carried out by a resident of the Chuhuiv District recruited by the enemy, who had previously worked as an electric welder at this TPP.

He came to the attention of russian special services when he published pro-kremlin comments in Telegram chats.

The SSU found that the attacker received an order from his russian supervisor to find out the technical condition and results of restoration work at the TPP after its shelling by the occupiers. He was also supposed to check the surrounding area around the plant to see if there were any air defense systems protecting the strategic facility.

He collected the relevant data during reconnaissance missions near the facility, as well as in conversations with his friends.

"SSU officers were proactive and detained the offender at the beginning of his espionage activity in the region. During the searches, a smartphone was seized from the detainee, on which he stored information collected for the Russian Federation," the special service said.

The SSU investigators have served the offender a notice of suspicion for unauthorized dissemination of information on the movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the possibility of their identification on the ground, committed under martial law (Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the crime and possible additional qualification of the informant's criminal actions.
