Temporary changes are introduced in the schedule on the section to Poltava using connecting routes in sleeping cars. It was confirmed by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Due to a power shortage, trains between Kharkiv and Poltava have been running on backup diesel locomotives in recent weeks, resulting in delays of up to three hours.
"On some days, the arrival took place after the curfew, so for the convenience of passengers and more timely arrival, the timetables were adjusted," the company explained.
Railroad workers are currently carrying out restoration work and strengthening security measures, and the full-fledged movement of high-speed trains is planned to resume by the end of March.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized that all other trains to Kharkiv and back are currently running unchanged.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 14, during a massive russian attack, one of the drones hit a commuter train in the Kharkiv Region; the passengers were not injured.
