Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the launch of additional support programs for the most vulnerable categories of citizens and announced financial assistance to pensioners and people in need of special social protection in April. He stated this after a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko in an evening address.
"We have just spoken with the Prime Minister about the launch of new support programs: additional payments for pensioners and people in need of social protection will be provided in April. Exactly as we agreed with the government," the Head of State emphasized.
The President emphasized that the state finds resources to fulfill its obligations to people even in extremely difficult wartime conditions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the preparation of new support programs for Ukrainians: additional payments of UAH 1,500 for 13 million Ukrainians, in particular for pensioners and recipients of social assistance, as well as support for citizens due to the destabilization of the fuel market due to the situation around Iran and the reduction in oil supplies to the world market.
Also, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denys Uliutin said that UAH 1,500 will be automatically credited to 13 million Ukrainians in April.
